CEUs
We offer Continuing Education Units (CEUs) through Ohio University and Otterbein College. CEUs are a nationally recognized measure of completion of non-credit professional development learning activities by an approved provider. CEUs can be used to:Provide employers with a history of an employee's professional development activities. Apply for relicensure or recertification, as defined by state agencies or professional organizations. Provide a basis for an employee's eligibility for a salary increase or promotion. Accrue college credit, based on an institution's requirements for translating life experiences to college credit. Provide a record for Lifelong Learning Tax Credits.

The Institute of Certified E-Commerce Consultants (ICEC) offers the Certified E-Commerce Consultant designation, designed for E-Commerce and E-Business managers and consultants. Novell offers the Certified Novell Engineer (CNE) designation to professionals passing the CNE exam. The NetWare 5 Administration Test evaluates skills in network planning, installation and configuration, performing system upgrades, and managing network databases. The NetWare 5 Advanced Administration test evaluates skills in designing, configuring, and administering a complex NetWare 5 network. Additionally, Cisco offers the Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) designation to professionals passing exams covering installation, configuration, and operation of LANs and WANs with networks of 100 or more nodes. CompTIA, the Computing Technology Industry Association, offers the A+ Certification exams, a testing program that certifies the competency of entry-level (six months experience) service technicians in the computer industry. The A+ Certification exams assess basic computer service and repair technology skills. MindLeaders, an authorized CompTIA curriculum provider, also offers courses to help you prepare for Network+ and Server+ certification exams. The Network+ certification verifies that the candidate knows about the OSI model, network components, and basic networking hardware peripherals and protocols. The Server+ certification credential validates advanced-level technical competency of server issues and technology, including installation, configuration, upgrading, maintenance, troubleshooting and disaster recovery. The Security+ series helps prepare the learner for the Security+ exam by teaching general security concepts, communication security, infrastructure security, some basics of cryptography, and operational and organizational security. It also provides a practice exam that includes questions in a format similar to the certification exam. The ECDL Foundation awards ECDL or ICDL certification to those who have passed one theoretical test on basic Information Technology concepts and six practice-based tests using a personal computer and common computer applications. To prepare for these tests, an individual may take courses from MindLeaders, a certified ECDL and ICDL vendor. Being a certified ECDL/ICDL vendor means that MindLeaders courseware has been approved by the ECDL foundation and meets the criteria of version 3.0 and version 4.0 of the ECDL syllabus.
